Mobi 101
Teaches optimizing Digital Lesson Design for learners.

Formative Assessment:
Session (A): Teaches checking for understanding strategies with the CPS responders: during the beginning, middle, and end of a lesson; viewing student progress; and using Fastgrade to grade tests and homework assignments instantly.

Session (B): Teaches the advanced integration of checking for understanding by using ExamView, CPS, and the Mobi combined with the latest research on summative and formative assessment.

Math
Session (A): Teaches creating digital lessons with district-adopted curriculum while embedding checking for understanding with CST released questions. Teaches using the CRA Instructional Approach to design lessons that make connections for visual and kinesthetic learners.

Topics Include: Review CRA (Concrete, Representational, Abstract) model, Sort and Classify, Number Sense, Missing Addends, Fractions, Division, Counting, Algebra Tiles

Session (B): Teaches creating advanced digital lessons to effectively interact with digital math curriculum by using the CRA model. Teaches how to extend checking for understanding strategies during lessons and promote connections for active learners.

Topics Include: Digital Math Curriculum, Place Value, Base 10 Blocks, Pre-Algebraic Concepts, Data and Graphing, Lesson Planning

Language Arts
Session (A): Teaches connecting linguistic to non-linguistic representations by creating mental models, designing digital lessons that incorporate collaborative groups while embedding checking for understanding, and customizing lessons to meet the needs of all learners through the Connections System.

Topics Include: Plurals, Author's Purpose, Vocabulary, Writing Strategies, and Lesson Planning

Session (B): Teaches creating mental models in phonics lessons, critiquing digital lessons for more effective digital delivery, customizing digital lessons that emphasize reading strategies, collaboration, and advanced lesson design.

Topics Include: Making Predictions and Inferences, Points of View, Types of Questions, Blending Phonetic Sounds, Writing Complete Sentences, and Lesson Planning.
